My daughter and her boyfriend of a year just got a fantastic place together in Crown Point. On Saturday my mom, sister and I went to their place to help get them set up and start decorating.........all the while their were other plans happening behind the scenes. We all spent the morning together shopping and organizing and then it was time to head back home. Phil had planned for us to go to the Quail Botanical Gardens in the afternoon. We'd been a few months ago and kept meaning to go back and really take time walking around and enjoying it. Of course my sister was starved so we stopped at In-N-Out on our way back home and so we took a little longer than planned. My sister and mom literally DOVE out of the car when we pulled up to the house and were gone without barely saying Gbye. I was like okay, what in the hell is going on here!
When I got in the house these were on the coffee table
I try to keep flowers most of the time but this bouquet was so big I was like "WOW" good job bb. Phil totally downplayed them and said "You always get flowers for the house so I wanted to do something nice for you for always keeping our home so amazing".......I was like okay and he said lets get over to the gardens.....I kinda felt like is something going on cuz Phil doesnt usually PLAN THINGS. Im the planner and keep our social calendar full......so for him to have this day organized I was was thinking I would just go with the flow and enjoy it. DONT QUESTION HIM AND JUST ENJOY! haa haa
We walked around a bit and I said "Hey I think there is a waterfall over here.........." As we walked around the rain forest within the gardens we came up to the waterfall. Phil made me pose like a tourist and point at the waterfall.
I was laughing so hard cuz he was taking forever and i just stood there like a dork posing and pointing with my back to him. He said ok now face me and I'll get a normal non tourist shot..........as I turned around he was on one knee with a card and handed it to me.......
I dont even remember what the card said......I was trying not to cry.............then he asked me to marry him........and I said "YES!"
People were walking by and congratulating us and we started calling family and friends.........He had it planned for a while and he had told Keir days before and she told my mom and sister while we were at her new place. So they all knew all day!!!!!! Stinkers.
So thats our story. He had champagne for us so we had that overlooking Swamis and now we just enjoy our engagement and our future. Oh and here's the ring! Tee hee...........L.O.V.E. Phil & Angie
